Overview of Technical Requirements- Windows: Windows 98, ME, NT, 4.0, 2000, XP or Vista and a 56k V.90 modem or better Internet connection.
- Macintosh: Mac OS X and a 56k V.90 modem or better Internet connection.
- Depending on the use of streaming media, interactive multimedia, or other content in the individual courses, you might need additional hardware, software or browser plug-ins.You will require a soundcard and speakers to listen to lectures and other audio content.
- Firefox and IE 7 are the recommended browsers.
- In other browsers, some functionality may not work. For example, Opera and Safari will not show the built-in html editor.
- Some of the Endeavour Online Learning courses use pop-up windows, therefore you will need to disable pop-up blockers in your browser. Some blockers may be turned off on Windows by right clicking an icon on the system tray, next to where the clock resides.

Endeavour Online Learning has the same default username as ePortal. However, Endeavour Online Learning runs independently of the ePortal network - therefore if you change your password on Endeavour Online Learning it is NOT changed on ePortal (and visa versa).
For Students- Default username: student number
- Default password: your student ID number + your initials (first Initial uppercase, second initial lowercase).
- Name: Jo Bloggs, ID number: 123456
- Username: 12345 Password: 123456Jb
- Default username: firstnamelastname (firstname directly followed by surname)
- Default password: this should have been emailed to you. If you do not have it, please contact IT support.
If you are not immediately prompted to change your password you should do so ASAP.
- Can't remember your password?
Been here before but can’t remember your login?- Click on the “Help, I've forgotten my password button on the left screen. Fill in the email address (this must match the address in your Endeavour Online Learning profile) and the system will send you an email asking you to confirm you have requested a new password. Go to your email account, and click on the link within the email message. The system will then send you a new password.
- For you own security, you should always change a system generated password as soon as you have successfully logged in again.

MAKE SURE
Check your 'Caps Lock' key is not active and that you have entered your password in the correct case.
Ensure you are not using your ePortal password. Endeavour Online Learning is a website separate from the Endeavour computer network. If you have changed your password on the local computer network it has NOT changed on Endeavour Online Learning.
Usernames are restricted to a maximum of 20 characters, and any punctuation in names has been removed. (e.g. Simon Foxton-Hummingbird will have a username of simonfoxtonhummingb).
For Staff Members: Occasionally other people at Endeavour may share your firstname and lastname. In this situation numbers have been added to the usernames to ensure they are unique. You could try adding 2 or 3 on the end of your username (e.g. jobloggs2)
